"When clouds obscure the moon at night, who is it that patrols the castle for your safety? "Who suppresses threats in the darkness?" "We do. "We knights are the ones that protect you." Unable to give voice to his thoughts, D'Artagnan simply stood there, his fist clenched tightly.

Story
Past the wall on a byway, a grand swordfight played out at staggering speed. In spite of his traditional training and the techniques he learned from Captain Roland, D'Artagnan found he could not get the upper hand against a mere vagabond. Though difficult for him to accept, he couldn't deny it: Gatito was a genius and a master swordscat. His experience and skills honed in the heat of battle had taught D'Artagnan how to quickly utilize his musket in any situation, but Gatito's tenacious strikes kept getting in the way. Both knew that even the smallest mistake could spell defeat in battle. Suddenly, Gatito lunged in with his rapier and left his side open for just an instant. After he narrowly dodged the attack, a self-satisfied smile crept across D'Artagnan's face. "You're mine!" However, when he swung his sword, he found only empty air, and instead Gatito's knee came crashing straight into his stomach. "Augh!" He quickly lost his breath and fell to one knee, leaving himself completely exposed. D'Artagnan closed his eyes as he waited for Gatito's strike to run him through, but it never came. When he opened his eyes, all he saw was Gatito running in the opposite direction. D'Artagnan only sat there and waited for his fellow knights to arrive, his ears slumped down and unmoving.

Story
The resistance was stronger than expected, and if it weren't for Athos's split-second thinking and judgment, they had no doubt they would have been captured. They hid in the engine room to catch their breath. "Ugh, they're spewing venom out there," Porthos muttered. "At least we took down Rochefort. Just seeing his face used to make me shudder... As for Aramis... She's probably in the command center." Athos pressed down on his arm to stop it from bleeding. Taking Rochefort out of the picture was a huge win for them, even if it meant Athos badly injuring one of his arms. Now that they've destroyed the enemy's chain of command, they should be able to rest a while...is what he was thinking when he heard the sound of soldiers approaching the engine room. "Is this where they're hiding?" "Yeah, look. There's a trail of blood." D'Artagnan became tense and raised his sword. He was the least bruised of the bunch, which meant it was up to him to hold the front line. Suddenly, a bright light shone from the other side of the passageway, followed by a loud explosion. "Arrghhh!" Before he could tell what had happened, though, D'Artagnan quickly slashed his sword through the air to protect Athos and Porthos from the debris that came flying toward them.

Story
The duke was stronger than anyone D'Artagnan had ever seen, and he realized why the duke was called a swordmaster. His heart pounded every time the duke's sword narrowly missed his neck. However, he knew they could win. Gatito's quick movements covered D'Artagnan from all sides, and D'Artagnan's precise swordsmanship covered Gatito's openings. D'Artagnan had long thought of Gatito's sword techniques as he trained and honed his skills. Ironically, all of his training and practice to go against Gatito enabled him now to completely cover him as they fought together. "Ugh, you foolish pests...!" The duke began to falter, and once D'Artagnan's musket went off, the fight was over.
