    Story

"The Peyotem possesses a truly perplexing union of features. On its head grows a yellow flower, as though to show even beauty can grow in the desert, but around its neck grows a necklace of thorns, as though the Peyotem were some desert outlaw. The strangeness makes it almost seem as though these Astromons are somehow manmade..." - Excerpt from Botanical Astromnibus: Revised Edition

Observation Log 9-13 Observed by: Professor Julian I observed a truly unexpected sight not long ago. A Peyotem that had drunk an excessive amount of water at an oasis had dried up and died. It turns out excess can be just as harmful as insufficiency.

    Story

[Record] Subject: Peyotem Element: Wood Travelers in search of an oasis in the desert often emit cries of joy when spotting a Peyotem, but those cries of joy often turn into lamentations soon thereafter, as a Peyotem can survive a considerable amount of time without water. They need not seek out oases, and while travelers may get frustrated at being misled, it is the travelers' own misunderstandings that are to blame. Peyotems are simply out for a walk.

    Story

"Dark elemental Peyotems are famous for their flowers only blossoming one day out of the year. Just before they do, the Peyotem becomes extremely sensitive, and must be treated with great caution. More than a few travelers have carelessly approached a Peyotem and paid the ultimate price, eternally becoming one with the desert." - Excerpt from Botanical Astromnibus: Revised Edition
